Personal Note
After thirty years of practicing medicine, I still believe it is the greatest profession. Providing medical care to my patients is an extremely gratifying and most humbling experience.
Education and Training
Dr. Pelz graduated with honors in 1973 from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a BA in Biology and received his MD from the University of Wisconsin College of Medicine in 1977. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis in 1980. Dr. Pelz is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, 1980, voluntarily recertified in 2005. Dr. Pelz is Board Certified in Geriatric Medicine, 1992 and recertified in 2005. Dr. Pelz serves on the Board of the Memphis Medical Society and is a preceptor for the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, working with and teaching first and second year medical students.

Dr. James Kelly Ensor is a graduate of the University of the South. He graduated in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He proceeded to the University Of Tennessee School Of Medicine where he graduated in 1975. After completing a straight medicine internship and residency he became board Certified in Internal Medicine. In 2009 Dr. Ensor became a Fellow in the American College of Physicians. He is the past President of the Memphis Academy of Internal Medicine and is presently the President of The Memphis Medical Society. Dr. Ensor is a member of the Memphis Medical Society, The Tennessee Medical Association, The American Medical Association and serves on various committees in the state and local society. Dr. Ensor is an active staff member at St. Francis Hospital, Baptist Memphis Hospital and Methodist Germantown Hospital. He is presently working with our Tennessee medical students and the University of Memphis nurse practitioner program. Dr. Ensor is very interested in the efforts to improve the quality and access to physicians in Memphis and Shelby County.

Dr. David Sharfman Is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. He graduated in 1974 Phi Beta Kappa, Magna Cum Laude. He proceeded to University of Cincinnati College of Medicine where he graduated in 1978. Dr. Sharfman completed his general internal medicine internship and residency at Baptist Memorial Hospital in 1981. He became board certified in internal medicine in 1981. He has teaching experience with the University Of Cincinnati College Of Medicine and the UT College of Medicine Volunteer Faculty. Dr. Sharfman is very interested in Preventive Medicine.

Mohan Gehi, MD
Mohan Gehi, M.D.,F.A.C.P. is originally from India, He has been a Memphis resident since 1972. Dr. Gehi did his post graduate training at the University of Tennessee and Methodist University hospital in Memphis. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine. He treats all patients ages 18 and above. Dr. Gehi has been in private practice since 1982. He has held positions of Assistant Professor and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee. He is still involved in teaching medical students and in clinical research. He has authored many publications and served on various committees including: Chairman of the Department of Medicine, St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, and on the Alzheimer's Association Advisory Board since 2003.
Michael Posey, MD

Dr. Michael Posey is a graduate of the University of Mississippi. He graduated in 1971 with a Bachelor of Science and completed medical school at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in 1975. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Baptist memorial Hospital in 1978. Dr. Posey practiced emergency medicine from 1978 to 1980 and then entered private practice in 1980. He has practiced preventative internal medicine for the past 30 years. Dr. Posey has a special interest in lipid management and has been affiliated with Berkley Heart Lab for several years to the extent that a Berkley Dietician is available at our office at no cost to the patient. He is interested in medical research and carefully chooses studies that provide benefits to the patient in treating their disease process. Teresa beck, RN, our research coordinator, is onsite at our office.

 

 
Tina M. Todd FNP, APN
Tina Todd, CPNP
Tina Todd is a native Memphian, who graduated from Columbia University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. While studying at Columbia University she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. After graduation she worked in the Intermediate Cardiac Care Unit at New York Hospital Cornell Medical Center. Mrs. Todd received her Masters of Science in Nursing in 1996 from the University of Tennessee Center of Health Science. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society, the Memphis Area Advanced Practice Nurses and Memphis Area Geriatric Nurse Practitioners. Mrs. Todd has been a Registered Nurse in cardiac, trauma and pediatric intensive care units. She joined Dr. Mohan Gehi at Memphis Internal Medicine Group in 2007

 

 
Thomas Rawlinson, MD

Thomas Rawlinson is a graduate of Auburn University. He graduated in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science. He then proceeded to the University of Alabama where he graduated in 1980. Dr. Rawlinson completed his internship and residency in internal medicine in 1983 at the University of Tennessee School of Medicine. He worked briefly at the VA hospital in Memphis before starting a private practice 1986 which was located in the medical building at St. Francis Hospital. Dr. Rawlinson is currently practicing with Memphis Internal Medicine which he joined in May 2010. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a Fellow in the American college of Physicians. He was Chief of Medicine at St. Francis Hospital for over 6 years. Dr. Rawlinson is married with 2 daughters who keep him very busy when he is not seeing patients
